The 2023 Report Card on the Resolutions is now available on our website. The Report Card summarizes the activities of the ASB Provincial Committee from September 1, 2022 to August 31, 2023, and provides updates to all active resolutions.
In January 2023, the ASBs voted to change their Rules of Procedure so that resolutions will only remain active for three years, down from five years. This change means that there are over 30 resolutions set to expire on December 31, 2023. This change aligns the ASB resolution process with the RMA process, reduces the administrative burden for the Committee, and helps to ensure active resolutions are relevant to the current situation.
This marks the end to the 2023 resolution cycle, and the beginning of the next round that will be carried into 2024. Starting in October, ASBs will meet in their regions to present and vote on the next round of resolutions to bring to the 2024 Provincial ASB Conference in Lethbridge this January.
