2026 ASBPC Survey: June 1 – June 30
The Agricultural Service Board Provincial Committee is beginning a strategic planning process in 2026 and is gathering input from:
- ASB members and staff,
- Municipal councils,
- RMA and
- GOA ASB Program staff,
The survey is designed to support meaningful discussion about the role of ASBs, the role of ASBPC, local and provincial communication, and opportunities to strengthen alignment and collaboration across Alberta’s ASB system.
The survey is intended to gather individual perspectives and identify themes. It is not intended to create formal positions for any municipality, ASB, or organization.
This is the first time the ASBPC is leading strategic planning, and the first time the municipal councils and RMA have been identified as strategic partners. Survey will close June 30 and will help inform an in-person strategic planning session planned for August 2026.
It is recognized that many of the desired stakeholders have more than one role so the survey is designed to identify your various roles, and then answer from your personal perspective. This is not an anonymous survey, as there are a number of places for participants to provide long answers that the Committee may wish to follow up on for clarity. There is no need to speak on behalf of a role or organization since all identified stakeholders are welcome to participate.
The information collected at the facilitated discussion at the conference is being summarized and pulled together into a report that will also contribute to the strategic planning discussion. This is an engagement survey so you will be asked for your email address so that the Committee can follow up with input from the long answer questions if needed.
The link to the survey has been emailed out to regions through their ASBPC Representative, and through the AAAF email list.

The perspective of our strategic partners is valued, particularly as ASBPC works to better understand the diversity of ASB structures and practices across Alberta and how provincial, regional, and local partners can work together more effectively.
Thank you for contributing to this process.
